"We continue to do the same things over and over again and expect the results to be different."  Albert Einstein 1879-1955

"ALL teenagers have accidents!" many parents exclaim. You probably have heard the stories.  How teens learn to drive has not changed in decades.  Yet, we continue to wonder why the teen accident rate does not change.  One possible answer can be found in the training process.  Extensive research shows that most parents are not prepared to teach their teens to drive.  Unfortunately, most parents think they are good drivers are able to teach their teens without any formal training on effective instructor techniques. Often, the result is a poorly trained driver with a new license driving the wrong vehicle for their experience level.  Ninety-nine percent of the time, once a teen obtains a driver's license, all the training that could and should have been provided will be a missed opportunity, forever.  You have only one opportunity to teach your teen the basic skills to keep them safe.  Statistics support the fact that the current training process, coupled with an insufficient state testing standard, are the reasons why so many teen drivers continue to have accidents. What are you going to do?  Try to teach without any help? The statistics won't change if the teaching process doesn't!

Parents, you have nurtured your teen with tender loving care for 15 years and have seen them grow into young adults.   You have taken the time to teach many of life's lessons.   You have spent your hard earned money funding many activities.  You have purchased sports equipment, gone to sporting events, and movies that collectively cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.  Your teen's life is priceless.  Show your teen how much you care about them driving safely by spending a small amount of money on learning how to teach.  Think you should read more?  For your teen's sake, yes.

Every day across our nation, newspaper articles tell us that speeding, loss of control, and carelessness, are the contributing factors of many teenage vehicle accidents.  I'm sure the articles scare you because it is likely you know of families whose teen has been involved in a major accident soon after getting a license.  Is it possible to mitigate the chances of it happening to your teen?  Absolutely! Look at these statistics.

Remember, no government agency or driving school will teach your teen to drive proficiently and safely in the limited time the state requires.  Often, driving school instructors only teach the tasks required on the state driving test and resist exposing themselves to dangerous driving situations with a new driver.  Ultimately, preparing your teen to drive is your responsibility.  The worst feeling in the world for a parent would be to feel responsible for causing harm to their teen.  Do everything you can to help your teen.

Unfortunately, many states require very few hours of behind-the-wheel training with a state certified instructor. Your teen will need many additional hours of driver's training  before they can get a license.  You are going to be the instructor for the entire time!  Are you prepared to deliver the training that will last a lifetime?  Do you feel stressed about the risks involved while instructing?  Have you thought about how you will teach your teen? What and how many different exercises are you going to do during training to prepare them to drive competently and responsibly for their age?  Most adults have the potential to be effective driving instructors but they do not possess the necessary skills.  Parents for Teens Driving Safely will show you what you need.  Our training kit will be an investment in your teen's future that can not be passed by.

Look carefully at the two faces below.  At some point during your teen's training, a photo taken from an intersection installed with cameras may capture a similar pose.  Notice how the teen is oblivious to the dangers around him and continues enjoying the new driving experience.  Did you also notice the distressed parent's deeply embedded finger nails in the seat cushion?  It is guaranteed that negative emotions and colorful commentary will soon fill your vehicle as well! If you don't believe this, ask any parent who has already had the teaching experience.  Fortunately, it doesn't have to be this way and we'll show you how to avoid this.
